Ducktale's:
alternate intro

Hi, it's me again, you might know me as the guy who made that post about the Felix the cat bootleg, well I have another story to tell you so grab some popcorn.
Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 30 year's, you may have heard about a little show called ducktales. It follows scrooge mcduck, the richest duck in the world, as he goes on adventures with his grand nephews (I don't remember their names) to find treasure and build his fortune.
That's all well and good, but here's the thing, I don't like it!!!
Before you send hate comment's my way, here me out. One time in the 90s, I think it was in 1993. My parents bought some Duck tales box sets for my sisters birthday, she became obsessed. She would never shut up about it. Keep in mind I was not the target age for the show at the time, It was a pain to put up with. And that theme song, UGH!!!!! I bet it play's on loop in hell!!!!!
Fast-forward to 2017, I bet you are all aware that Duck tales got a reboot that year, it's okay. Of course my sister wanted to watch it, but I was not gonna pay for that crap on DVD, so I decided to download some episodes from YouTube and burn them to a disk.
So I was browsing YouTube to find some episodes and I came across a weird video, It was titled "Ducktales theme gone wrong (NSFW)". My curiosity got the better of me and I clicked on the video, That was a mistake.
The video started out normal with that god awful theme song. But the animation looked different, It looked like a crappy flash animation from 2005.
Apart for that it was normal, that is until the shot where scrooge dives into his money bin. In the original version he survives the whole ordeal with no injury, but in this version, he just hit the floor formed by all that gold, snapping his neck, blood everywhere! It reminded me about that one family guy episode where peter wins the lottery. In it there's a cutaway gag where peter dives into the money bin only to suffer the same fate as scrooge in this video.
In the next scene scrooge is being rushed to hospital. The doctors try to save him but there efforts are futile as scrooge's heart stop's. His nephews witness the whole thing. It then show's scrooge's funeral, Donald duck as well as his nephews are there to mourn his loss. The tombstone read's: Scrooge Mcduck: richest duck in the world. They fill his grave with money. The next shot showed scrooge ascending to heaven.
In the next scene, It showed the kids getting into a fight at the pub. This causes them to get arrested and thrown in jail. The next shot show's Donald duck berating them through one of those phone things they have at prisons. The video is nearing it's conclusion.
In the final scene Donald is sitting at a desk, their are unpaid tax bills everywhere. Donald's view pan's over to reveal a gun. It then cuts to scrooge's ghost popping out of his grave, the DuckTales logo appears above him and the video ends.
After this I emailed the video to Disney asking them if they knew about this heinous video.
Soon I got a reply from an employee at Disney, here is what it said.
"Hello **** (I censored my name)
thank you for bringing this video to our attention. One thing, how did you find it."
I replied "I was looking for some Ducktales episode and it came up in the suggestions."
The employee replied "Look, we did not add anything gory. I'm gonna tell you something but it's a secret"
"Back in 2004, the animators at Disney were complaining that hand drawn animation was tiring and that they needed to modernise it. So they decided to learn how to animate with flash, As a test to see what they can do, they decided to remake the DuckTales intro. The result was awful. So they decided to use CGI instead."
"Then several year's later I decided to upload it to YouTube".
"So, my theory is that some maniac took the video, added the gory bit's, and give it a clickbaity title." "so what you saw was nothing more than a fan made parody" "You are clearly distraught about this, how about we give you the season 1 box-set for the new Ducktales series".
I accepted his offer and the next day it arrived in the mail. I gave it to my sister for her birthday and she loved it. Thankfully I live by my own now so I won't have to listen to her ramble on about it for hour's on end. As for that video, It has since been taken down by Disney. I heard that collage humour had re-uploaded the video on their channel. You can go and watch it if you want. As for me, I'm gonna go watch some old felix the cat shorts.
