Number 5: ZDoom community map project "Take 2"
This HUGE level was made by a team of Mappers and Takes advantage of the features provided by the ZDOOM Sourceport. There are several new weapon's and enemies to find in this 2-hour adventure. You can also find PDAs belonging to UAC personnel, filling you in on the story and serving as a warning for certain hazards in the area. A highlight is when you have to go inside a simulation and kill digitised version's of classic Doom Foes to get the yellow keycard.
4: interstellar enforcer
Interstellar enforcer (IE for short) is a mission based TC, where you play as an Interstellar enforcer (Bet you didn’t see that coming) tasked with keeping the universe safe, usually done by blasting any alien scumbag who dares to cross your path. You start at a Base where you can use credits to buy weapons and health at an armory and select a mission. As of writing there’s only a demo available with 2 full missions and a handful of enemies’ and weapons, but it still took me 3 hour’s to finish it. I can tell this is going to be an Extensive mod when it’s done, I can’t wait to see more of this.
3: DOOM the Golden Souls
What happens when you mix Mario 64 and DOOM? You get this. The objective is to enter paintings to obtain a “Golden Soul” usually done by collecting 8 red coins or finding it outright.
2: Reelism
Reelism is what happens if you give doom a horde mode, How this mod work is that 3 slots roll to determine the weapon drop’s, enemy type’s and a stat that effects the player like adding N64 style fog that block’s your vision or Giving you a mech to destroy your enemies's with. Repeat that for 6 rounds and then you have to fight a random boss, Kill the boss and you win. There is tons of map’s ranging from a JRPG style town to a bridge where you have to dodge cars passing by (pictured). There is also support for co-op so you can play it with your friends.
1: The Adventures of Square
DOOM’s great and all, but I can understand some parents not wanting their kids to be blowing apart hell-spawn with big fricking gun’s. Allow me to present a substitute. The Adventures of Square Follows Square on his quest to find Dr Octagon who has been kidnapped by the circle of evil, This Journey will take square from shape land to the moon and beyond, All the while battling shape-based foe's with a variety of paintball gun's. As of now there are only 2 of the 3 planned episodes available, but development is very active. I can’t wait to see more from this team.
